Because the mind and body are so intimately connected, easing tension in your body is an effective way to alleviate stress. Muscle tightness can make you feel agitated or anxious, whereas loosening those muscles brings relaxation and peace. Physical stimulation such as exercise relaxes the body and sends a message to the mind that all is well, improving one’s outlook and inviting possibilities for growth.
Yoga students report feeling physically invigorated and, as a result, mentally agile after class.
We made two positive improvements for our students by moving to the new location: fresh air and ample parking!
